Talk:John McGraw
Should this really be titled Yankees managers? They were the Baltimore Orioles in those days and wouldn't be Yankees for over a decade. - --Mischa 17:38, 1 May 2006 (EDT)
Post from David Vincent on SABR-L (3/21/2015): Retrosheet has a new play-by-play game account from the NY Evening Telegram that clearly states John McGraw was a pinch-runner for Bresnahan after the latter was beaned on June 18, 1907 in Cincinnati. Two Cincinnati papers agree that he was a pinch-runner.
We are adding that game to McGraw's record, which means changing his last date played from 9/12/1906 to 6/18/1907. There were no previous games for McGraw in 1907, so this adds another year as a player to his record, as well. --Cmcgill (talk) 19:37, 21 March 2015 (EDT)
