So does the SABR Bio; I've changed it. I wonder if the scout Jim McLaughlin was Jim McLaughlin (mclauji02); the dates and the connection to the St. Louis Browns work, but I haven't been able to find confirmation. --Philippe (talk) 05:30, 9 April 2014 (EDT)

That is not the same McLaughlin. The Orioles Scouting director was 45 when he resigned in December 1960. He was hired by the Browns in 1939 as an office assistant and became farm director in 1945 [1]. Jeff (talk) 16:07, 4 November 2023 (UTC)
