I am interested in anything about Frank Torreyson. I have searched newspapers for him, I know he played and managed, and was sometimes controversial. I would like to know more. BTH at bromar2004@yahoo.com

Johnson & Wolff have him listed at various stops in 1890-1891, and 1896-1899. There is a Thayer Torreyson listed in 1892-1893. I wonder if its the same guy. --Jeff 22:53, 24 April 2007 (EDT)

I think so. Mudhens.com lists Thayer Torreyson as a player in 1896, while J&W list Frank as manager. Then again, maybe brothers? --Jeff 22:55, 24 April 2007 (EDT)

The Baseball History Daily article says he owned a Pittsburgh team in the 1892 PA State league, which he moved to Wilkes-Barre. He then became owner of the 1897 Wheeling team. --Cmcgill (talk) 14:07, 30 May 2014 (EDT)
