Talk:Denis Menke
The B-R page says he was born in Bancroft, IA, while the Bullpen page says he was born in Algona, IA. The two are towns very close to each other, so it's not a big deal, but for a modern player you'd think we could be consistent. - Randy 14:09, 9 July 2010 (EDT)
Birthplaces are often wrong, including on Baseball-Reference and milb.com. Often the place someone went to high school or grew up is given instead of where they were born. Usually, by the time a player has been retired for decades, these issues have been straightened out, though. - --Mischa 14:10, 9 July 2010 (EDT)
