Biographical Information

Taisuke Kondo was drafted in 2015.

Kondo pitched for Panasonic in the industrial leagues after college. He was then with Samurai Japan for the 2015 Asian Championship. In his lone outing, he relieved Yuki Sameshima in the 4th inning against Indonesia with a 15-0 lead. He struck out Ridzki Aditya, Adi Susanto and Chindy Patria Yudharana in the 4th and Andospa Aldo Saputra and Daniel Christianto to open the 5th. Tony Pribadi Jaya grounded out for the only contact against Kondo. Japan ended with a five-inning mercy rule win. The Orix BlueWave took him in the third round of the 2015 NPB draft.

His fastball has been timed at a peak of 93.8 mph and he also throws a forkball.
