TVA Credit Union Ballpark in Johnson City, TN, was the home of Johnson City affiliated baseball from 1956 through 2019. After that and the Coronavirus pandemic-canceled 2020 season, MLB's 2021 Minor League Reorganization made the Rookie-Advanced Appalachian League a collegiate wood-bat circuit.

Opened as Howard Johnson Field, for the then-director of Johnson City Parks and Recreation, it later added "At Cardinal Park". Few locals ever used the whole name, calling it one or the other. In 2016, TVA Credit Union bought naming rights and replaced the entire name.

The 2018 JC-Cards reported house record baseball crowds on consecutive July nights and their first 4,000 one-game attendance in August. The successor collegiate team, playing as the Johnson City Doughboys, topped that in their 2023 opener with 4,254 on June 6th and averaged more than 4K over their first three home games.

Johnson City had a big-league farm team every season except one from 1937 through 2019 - and the exception was 1956, the year the Appy League skipped on the way to becoming short-season and also the year Howard Johnson opened. More than 50 of those clubs were called Cardinals, including all of them after 1975.

They played an August 2018 road game with the Greeneville Reds at Smokies Stadium, home of the Tennessee Smokies. Why? The Cards, G-Reds, and Smokies were all commonly operated.
