Sydney Wave
The Sydney Wave played two seasons in the Australian Baseball League. They replaced the Sydney Metros for 1990-1991 and finished 6th at 16-26. Their top performer was All-Star SS Billy White, who led the league in steals (15) and was among the leaders in average (.384, 4th) and hits (56, tied for 2nd). He was also named the top defensive player in the ABL that year.
In the 1991-1992 ABL, Sydney was 17-27, in 7th place ahead of only the other Sydney club, the Sydney Blues. Their top player was 1B Brian Murphy, the All-Star 1B who was second in the league with 11 home runs.
They folded after 1991-1992, leaving only the Blues in Sydney.
