Biographical Information[edit]
Catcher Steve Soliz was drafted by the Cleveland Indians in the 13th round of the 1993 amateur draft. He played in the Indians chain from 1993 to 1999 and the San Diego Padres system in 2000 and 2001.
Soliz was a volunteer coach for the 2002 Yuma Bullfrogs and became the bullpen catcher for the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim in 2004. He became the team's bullpen coach in 2011, staying until the end of the 2015 season. He was then named the team's catching and information coach from 2016 to 2018.
Soliz became a manager with the Boise Hawks in 2019. He was then a coach for the Fresno Grizzlies in 2021-2022.
