Biographical Information[edit]
Outfielder Steve Martin played in the independent Frontier League from 2004 to 2006.
He hit .267/.341/.391 with 7 home runs, 40 RBI and 20 stolen bases in 86 games for the Evansville Otters in 2004. In 2005, he hit .312/.407/.497 with 12 home runs, 41 RBI and 23 stolen bases in 90 games between Evansville and the Chillicothe Paints. He hit .207/.305/.288 with a home run, 10 RBI and two steals in 37 games for Chillicothe in 2006. Overall, he hit .279/.365/.424 with 20 home runs, 91 RBI and 45 stolen bases in 213 games.
He was killed in a car accident at the age of 24 on July 6, 2006.
