Biographical Information[edit]
Steve Foucault was a relief pitcher for three clubs during his major league career from 1973 to 1978. Foucault, a sidearm throwing righty, served as closer in an era when relievers didn't save as many games. His career total of 52 saves included 4 years when he led his team in saves: the Texas Rangers in 1973, 1974, and 1975 along with the Detroit Tigers in 1977.
Foucault was the pitching coach for the Beloit Brewers (1992-1994), Hudson Valley Renegades (1995), GCL Rangers (1996), Charlotte Rangers (1997), Lehigh Valley Black Diamonds (1998-2000), Camden Riversharks (2001-2006), Newark Bears (2007-2008), Evansville Otters (2009-2010), and Long Island Ducks (2011-2013).
