In 1999 the Newburgh Black Diamonds planned on moving into a brand new ballpark near Easton, PA. However the owners went bankrupt and the new ballpark didn't materialize. The league took over the Black Diamonds and they spent three years as a road team, eventually being renamed the Pennsylvania Road Warriors.
