Steve Farley

Steve Farley is a college coach.

Farley was All-State in high school in Wisconsin, then pitched for the University of Minnesota Golden Gophers. While in graduate school, he was an assistant to Jerry Kindall in 1983 at the University of Arizona. He was pitching coach for the U.S. Military Academy after finishing his master's degree. In 1988, he was coach of Davis & Elkins College; he was named West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Co-Coach of the Year in 1990 while there.

Farley became head coach of Butler University in 1992. He would set the school record for wins three different times in his first 18 years there, picking up 427 wins overall in that period. He was named Horizon League Coach of the Year four times and helped develop Pat Neshek. In 2003, he took Butler out of the US for the first time when they toured Australia. In 2006, he helped run a coaching clinic in Regensburg, Germany.
