Biographical Information[edit]
Starke Ginn was the brother of major leaguer Tinsley Ginn. Starke hit .288 for the 1911 Roanoke Tigers and .295/?/.361 for the same club in 1912. His 155 hits were third-most in the Virginia League. He had 20 outfield assists for Roanoke in 1913 while hitting .267 and slugging .347. His 11 triples tied Sandy Piez for the league lead. He hit .331 in 42 games for the 1914 Waterbury Contenders and .232 in 60 contests for the 1916 LaGrange Grangers.
