Biographical Information

Ssu-Han Huang had a brief career in the CPBL.

Huang was drafted by the Brother Elephants in the 7th round of the 2013 CPBL Draft, but he didn’t sign. The EDA Rhinos then took him in the 5th round of the 2014 CPBL Draft, and Huang had 1.42 ERA in 9 games in the minors in 2014. The Rhinos then sent him to the Brisbane Bandits in the winter, and Huang had a 8.59 ERA in 6 games in the 2014-2015 ABL. He had a 4.12 ERA in the minors in 2015, and he also got 7 appearances with the big club. However, Huang struggled as his ERA was 11.37, and he didn’t pitch another game in the major league after that year. His ERA was 5.17 in 30 games in 2016, and he was released after his ERA was 5.54 in 2017 even in the minors.

Huang’s repertoire included a fastball (peak 88.8 mph), slider and forkball.
