Biographical Information[edit]

Spencer Medick started his college baseball career at Division III Hampden-Sydney College in 2010 and set a goal of playing for a Division I program. His journey took him to Polk State College in 2011 before reaching Division I Elon University where he played during the 2012-2013 seasons. Medick earned a bachelor's degree in business administration & management from Elon.

In 2014 Medick joined the Arizona Diamondbacks organization as a pitcher for the AZL Diamondbacks. During his one season in affiliated ball he had a 3-0 record, 2 saves, and an ERA of 1.17. After leaving the D'backs, Medick moved to the independent Frontier League and pitched for the Southern Illinois Miners (2015), the Joliet Slammers (2015, 2016, 2018), and the Evansville Otters (2018).

Following the season, Medick spent the remainder of 2018 as the lead throwing trainer at Prime Sports Performance. In January 2019 he began working as a throwing trainer at Driveline Baseball where he stayed through 2021.

The New York Yankees hired Medick to serve as the pitching coach for the Hudson Valley Renegades in 2022, FCL Yankees in 2023, and Hudson Valley again in 2024.
