Biographical Information[edit]
Sneideer Santos was a minor league player.
Santos debuted in 1998 with the DSL Diamondbacks, hitting .236. With the same club a year later, he improved to a team-high .314 with 19 doubles, 39 runs and 40 RBI in 242 AB. Coming to the US with the 2000 AZL Diamondbacks, the Dominican flyhawk hit .342/.389/.500 with 6 triples and 28 runs in 43 games, while having 7 assists to one error. He tied for 4th in the Arizona League in triples, just missed the top 10 in average and led in outfield double plays (3). He also played one game for the AAA Tucson Sidewinders, going 0 for 1. In 2001, he fell to .173/.239/.321 with the Yakima Bears, striking out in 32 of 81 AB, to end his career with .300 marks in two of four seasons.
Santos then played for the Dominican national team in the 2002 Intercontinental Cup, batting .263/.417/.421 and playing error-free defense as their starting center fielder. He won Bronze with the Dominicans in the 2002 Central American and Caribbean Games. He then played for the French national team in the 2013 World Baseball Classic Qualifiers. He went 2 for 6 with a double and a RBI, trailing only Rene Leveret in OPS on the French squad. He had played in France's Division Elite from 2004-2006 with the Rouen Huskies and Templiers Senart.
