At age 16, he was 1 for 23 with 2 walks, 3 runs and a RBI for the 2017 champion Heidenheim Heideköpfe while handling 29 chances error-free as the backup to Mitch Nilsson at 2B. The next year, he became a regular, batting .230/.326/.270 and fielding .968. His .987 at 2B led the league. In the 2018 European Champions Cup, he was 1 for 6 with a walk and handled 13 chances without a miscue. He played for Germany in the 2018 European Junior Championship, batting .455/.571/.545 with 6 walks, 7 runs and 5 RBI in 6 games, with no errors in 17 chances. He tied for 8th in average, was 9th in slugging (right behind Darryl Collins) and was 6th in hits.
