Simon Liedtke has played in the Bundesliga.

At age 16, he was 1 for 23 with 2 walks, 3 runs and a RBI for the 2017 champion Heidenheim Heideköpfe while handling 29 chances error-free as the backup to Mitch Nilsson at 2B. [1] The next year, he became a regular, batting .230/.326/.270 and fielding .968. His .987 at 2B led the league. [2] In the 2018 European Champions Cup, he was 1 for 6 with a walk and handled 13 chances without a miscue. [3] He played for Germany in the 2018 European Junior Championship, batting .455/.571/.545 with 6 walks, 7 runs and 5 RBI in 6 games, with no errors in 17 chances. He tied for 8th in average, was 9th in slugging (right behind Darryl Collins) and was 6th in hits. [4]

Liedtke hit .237/.339/.268 with 23 runs in 28 games in '19 and was 0-2 with a 6.43 ERA. He hit .200 in the playoffs as Heidenheim won it all. [5] In the 2019 CEB Cup, he was 0 for with 5 walks and 4 runs in 4 games and pitching a scoreless inning. He tied Andrei Tatarevich for the most walks; Heidenheim won the event. [6] In 2020, he hit .381/.422/.571 in a part-time role and only .161/.235/.355 in the postseason but his team repeated as champs. [7]

He was 2 for 8 with two walks and two RBI in the 2021 European Champions Cup, playing error-free ball. [8] He struggled in the Bundesliga season at .209/.321/.279 and hit .333/.385/.333 in the postseason. [9] He only pitched in the 2021 U23 European Championship, throwing 2 2/3 hitless, scoreless innings, though he walked three. [10] In the 2021 U23 Baseball World Cup, he was 0-1 with a 2.63 ERA, losing to Nicaragua and minor league veteran Dilmer Mejía. [11]
