Shuai Li is a pitcher who has appeared with the Beijing Tigers of the China Baseball League. In the 2006 World Baseball Classic, he allowed three hits and four runs while only retiring two batters. He pitched part of the 7th inning against the eventual champion Japanese national team, relieving Zheng Xu. He got Michihiro Ogasawara on a fly and Tomoya Satozaki on a grounder to end the frame. In the 8th, he was less effective, letting Munenori Kawasaki reach on an infield hit. A fielding error by Lingfeng Sun scored Kawasaki and put Ichiro Suzuki on second. Tsuyoshi Nishioka tripled in Suzuki, then came home on a Norichika Aoki single. Hongrui Li relieved Shuai Li.
