Biographical Information[edit]
Shoshi Chiyomaru played in the CPBL and NPB.
Chiyomaru was drafted by the Hiroshima Carp in the 6th round of the 1988 NPB draft, but he was placed in the NPB Farm Leagues for his first seven seasons, and he only played 8 games combined with the big club. He was also sent to the Gate City Pioneers in 1990, and he hit .245/.281/.371 in 50 games for them. The Carp sent him to the China Times Eagles in the middle of the 1995 season, and he had a .211/.286/.211 batting line for them. Chiyomaru returned to the Carp, but he still didn't get many chances as he only played 6 games with the big club until he announced his retirement in 1997.
Overall, Chiyomaru went 0-for-16 in 4 seasons in the NPB.
