Biographical Information

Shoma Kanemura has pitched in Nippon Pro Baseball.

Kanemura completed a perfect game with 18 strikeouts against North Asia University on April 17, 2021, and that was the second perfect game in North Tohoku Universities Baseball Federation (the first one was by Sora Suzuki in 2017). The Nippon Ham Fighters selected him in the 2nd round of the 2022 NPB draft; the scout was Yasukatsu Shirai. Kanemura was 2-1 with a 1.80 ERA in 4 starts in 2023, then he went 7-6 with 6 holds and a 2.38 ERA in 2024. He was their opening day starter in 2025, and he shut out the Seibu Lions in that game.
