Biographical Information

Shih-Hao Wu pitched in the CPBL. His cousins in CPBL pitcher Chun-Wei Wu and CPBL infielder En-Chi Chih.

Wu represented Taiwan in the 2017 U-18 Baseball World Cup. The Fubon Guardians selected him in the fourth round of the 2017 CPBL Draft, and he had a 1.64 ERA in 5 games in 2018. His ERA rose to 7.42 in 11 games in 2019, and he mainly stayed in the minor league in 2020; his ERA was 6.03 in 29 games there. Wu broke out in 2021 as he had a solid 2.51 ERA in 29 games, and he also notched 10 holds. However, he underwent elbow surgery in 2022, and he missed the entire season. Wu had a 4.01 ERA in 36 games in the minors in 2023, but he allowed 4 runs in 4 2/3 innings with the big club.

Wu's repertoire includes a fastball (peak 93.8 mph), curveball, changeup and slider.
