Biographical Information

Infielder Shay Whitcomb won the 2023 Joe Bauman Award as the top home run hitter in the minor leagues that year. His 35 homers between the AA Corpus Christi Hooks and AAA Sugar Land Space Cowboys actually tied him with Yunior Severino, but the tiebreaker was RBIs, and he outpaced Severino in that category, 102 to 84.
