Shaun Hrabar played in the US and Australia.
Hrabar was with the Australian national team in the 1988 Olympics as a teenager. He debuted wityh the Perth Heat of the Australian Baseball League in 1990-1991, hitting .303/.391/.342 for his hometown Perth Heat. Signed by the Baltimore Orioles, he struggled with the 1991 Kane County Cougars, batting just .161/.217/.206 in 68 games, with 12 runs and 14 RBI. He fielded .989 with 5 assists in 62 outfield games. He produced at a .354/.410/.469 clip with 32 RBI in 43 games for Perth in 1991-1992. He finished 4th in average (between Michael Moyle and Peter Hartas), tied Brian Murphy for 4th in hits (52) and was 7th in RBI. He beat out batting champion Paul Gorman for the All-Star nod at third base that year.
Following a shoulder injury and surgery, he hit .235/.269/336 in 1992-1993 and was a bench player in 1993-1994 (.236/.266/.403 in 24 G) and 1994-1995 (.306/.342/.528 in 36 AB). Moving to the Gold Coast Cougars, he produced at a .290/.313/.427 clip in 1995-1996. He was 3 for 19 with 2 walks and 5 runs in 6 games in 1996-1997 then ended his playing career, becoming a Cougars coach.
He had hit .284 and slugged .400 in 205 games in the ABL, with 102 runs and 100 RBI. He was 14-for-16 in steals, stealing 13 in a row in his final six seasons.
