Shaldimar Daantji has played in the Hoofdklasse since 2003. He is a cousin of Johnny Balentina.

Daantji played for the DOOR Tridents in the Eerste Klasse in 2001-2002. In 2003, he moved up to DOOR Neptunus in Hoofdklasse and spent two years with them, winning the Holland Series each season. In 2005, Shaldimar hit .252/.306/.304 for the Amsterdam Pirates and stole 13 bases in 14 tries. He tied Danny Rombley for second in swipes, trailing only Jefferson Muzo.

Daantji switched clubs again in 2006, playing for Almere. He batted .169/.203/.220 in an awful year. He rebounded in 2007, producing at a .276/.309/.328 rate for Sparta/Feyenoord and registering six outfield assists in 36 games.

In 2008, Daantji hit .278/.294/.354 and was 12-for-13 in steal attempts. He also led the circuit with four triples. He was fourth in swipes. In 2009, Shaldimar returned to Neptunus and batted .245/.294/.305 with 9 steals in 12 tries and 26 runs in 41 games. He was originally listed on the Dutch roster for the 2009 World Port Tournament but was a late cut.
