Biographical Information[edit]
Jefferson Muzo has played in the Hoofdklasse. In 2005, he hit .269/.342/.317 for the Pioniers. He stole 19 bases in 21 tries to lead the league in swipes, 6 ahead of the runner-ups. In 2006, he batted .283/.374/.301 and swiped 17 bases in 22 tries, tying Raily Legito for second, six behind leader Johnny Balentina. He struggled defensively, with 10 errors in 38 games. He was 0 for 4 in the 2006 Holland Series and went 1-for-2 in steals.
Muzo hit only .214/.241/.250 for the 2007 Pioniers and was 0 for 2 in steals. During the 2007 Holland Series, he went one for eight but drew four walks and scored twice. In 2008, he was 6 for 16 with 2 walks, 2 steals and 7 runs for the Pioniers. He also played for the Royal Scorpions in Curacao's league, hitting a meek .143/.256/.171 in 9 games.
Muzo made a comeback in 2009, batting .272/.343/.280 for the Pioniers. He scored 29 runs, 7th in the Hoofdklasse. He stole 23 bases (only being thrown out 3 times), leading the circuit in swipes by five over Legito.
