Biographical Information[edit]
Seung-kyu Park has played in the Korea Baseball Organization and for the South Korean national team.
Park was selected by the Samsung Lions in the second round of the 2019 KBO draft, and he hit .191/.261/.191 in 14 games in his rookie year. He improved to .258/.297/.335 in 2020, but he then slumped to .182/.299/.333 in 2021. Park then hit .216/.244/.243 in 62 games in 2022, then he joined the Sangmu Phoenix and missed the next two seasons.[1] He also represented South Korea in the 2023 Asia Professional Baseball Championship, but he was 0-for-8 in the entire event. South Korea lost to Japan in Gold Medal Game due to Makoto Kadowaki's walk-off single. [2]
