Biographical Information[edit]

Seong-han Park has played for the South Korean national team and in the Korea Baseball Organization.

Park represented Korea in the 2016 BFA U-18 Baseball Championship. The SK Wyverns selected him in the second round of the 2017 KBO draft, and he mainly stayed in the minors in his first season as he only got 4 at-bats with the big club. He hit .135/.237/.154 in 42 games in 2018, then he missed the next two seasons due to military service. Park returned in 2020, and he hit .242/.324/.323 in 41 games. He improved to .302/.377/.388 with 12 steals in 2021, and he recorded a .298/.375/.375 batting line in 2022. Park hit .182/.308/.227 in the 2022 Korean Series, and he won his first title as the SSG Landers beat the Kiwoom Heroes in 6 games. He started the winning rally in Game 5 with a walk in the 9th and scored the go-ahead run in Game 6 after drawing a walk from Eric Jokisch.

The Suncheon native slumped to .266/.347/.366 in 2023, and he was on Korea's roster for the 2022 Asian Games (held in 2023 after delays from COVID-19). He was 1-for-7, with a steal against Hong Kong, and that was South Korea's only steal in the entire event. He didn't appear in the Gold Medal Game, and South Korea beat Chinese Taipei to win Gold. Park bounced back in 2024, and his batting line was .301/.380/.411 with 10 homers.
