Biographical Information[edit]

Starting pitcher Sebastian Vader began his professional career in 2010.

He was taken by the Baltimore Orioles in the 18th round of the 2010 amateur draft, ahead of super-prospect Kris Bryant. He was signed by scout Mark Ralston. He began his career with a 7.90 ERA for the GCL Orioles, though he posted a 11.7 K/9 IP ratio. He followed that in 2011 with a 2.45 ERA in 47 2/3 innings for the same club. After a ho-hum year with the Aberdeen IronBirds in 2012, Vader went 7-3 with a 2.43 ERA in 14 games (13 starts) for the club in 2013, tying for the New York-Penn League lead in wins. He split 2014 between the Delmarva Shorebirds (83 IP) and Frederick Keys (47 IP), going 11-8 with a 3.60 ERA in 22 starts between them. He was a South Atlantic League Mid-Season All-Star.
