Biographical Information[edit]
Scott Masik played in the minors then became a college coach.
He played one year at San Jose City College. When they dropped baseball, he went to Cabrillo for a year then transferred to Cal State LA. [1] He hit .326/.393/.462 with 56 runs in 53 games there in 2013.
The Oakland A's took him in the 21st round of the 2013 amateur draft. The scout was Rick Magnante. [2] He batted .250/.415/.313 in 22 games that summer for the AZL Athletics, drawing 16 walks. He had 22 putouts, 3 assists and no errors in the outfield. In 2014, he hit .218/.321/.277 for the Vermont Lake Monsters.
He was assistant coach at West Valley College from 2018-2022 then became head coach at Cabrillo.
