Biographical Information

Scott Masik played in the minors then became a college coach.

He played one year at San Jose City College. When they dropped baseball, he went to Cabrillo for a year then transferred to Cal State LA. He hit .326/.393/.462 with 56 runs in 53 games there in 2013.

The Oakland A's took him in the 21st round of the 2013 amateur draft. The scout was Rick Magnante. He batted .250/.415/.313 in 22 games that summer for the AZL Athletics, drawing 16 walks. He had 22 putouts, 3 assists and no errors in the outfield. In 2014, he hit .218/.321/.277 for the Vermont Lake Monsters.

He was assistant coach at West Valley College from 2018-2022 then became head coach at Cabrillo.
