Biographical Information[edit]

Scott Loucks had five years in the major leagues and also played many years in the minors.

Drafted in the 5th round in 1977, he was in the Houston Astros minor league organization from 1977 to 1980, when he had his first major league cup of coffee, and also in 1981. He was not a power hitter, although he hit some triples, and his highest average in the minors during that stretch was .271 in 1981.

In his 73 major league games, he had 80 at-bats, hitting a decent .263, although with little power.

Born in Alaska before statehood, he went to high school in Hawaii. He also played for the Hawaii Islanders in 1985.
