Sault Ste. Marie, also spelled Sault-Sainte-Marie in French, is located in western Ontario, on the Ste. Marie River which connects Lake Superior, to the west, with Lake Huron to the east. Its twin city of Sault Ste. Marie, MI, lies across the river to the south and it is 120 miles west of Sudbury, ON.
