Sudbury, ON

From BR Bullpen

Sudbury is located in northern Ontario, near the shore of Lake Huron, 160 miles west of Ottawa, ON. It is a mining city next to one of the largest nickel deposits in the world and was known for its nearby lunar landscape created by the slag heaps from the mines, which did not support plant life. The city is officially "Greater Sudbury, ON", following the amalgamation of several nearby towns in 2001, although it is usually called by its shortened name, which was that of the most important of the original cities.

James Pidutti and Farhan Zaidi were born here. Laurentian University and Lasalle Secondary School are here.
