Sascha Brockmeyer has played for the German national team.

Brockmeyer was with Germany in the 2007 European Junior Championship, going 2 for 15 with a double, hit-by-pitch, 2 runs, a RBI and 7 strikeouts. He also retired all three batters as a pitcher, saving a game. He made his Bundesliga-1 debut in 2008 with the Paderborn Untouchables, hitting .333/.459/.391 with 23 runs and 19 RBI in 22 games. He tied for third with 10 hit-by-pitch and missed the top 10 in OBP by .013. He alternated between 3B and 1B. In 2009, he fell to .243/.360/.311 while starting at third for Paderborn. He fielded .929 at the hot corner, second in the league. In 2010, he batted only .224/.305/.294, regressing further. Now a second baseman, he fielded .934 there.

Back at third in 2011, Brockmeyer produced at a .281/.327/.354 clip with 21 RBI in 27 games. He went 2 for 11 for Germany in the 2011 World Port Tournament. In 2012, he hit .367/.419/.513 with 33 runs in 38 games. He was 2 for 16 in the 2012 European Cup, though one of his hits was a homer. He then made Germany's roster for the 2012 European Championship.
