Sara Reeser
- Bats Left, Throws Left
- Born February 11, 1925 in Columbus, OH USA
Biographical Information[edit]
Sara Reeser played first base for the Muskegon Lassies/Kalamazoo Lassies from 1946 to 1950. She was known for having outstanding defensive ability and was known for excelling at drag bunting and slap bunting in a similar style to that of Willie Keeler. Though her .218 batting average isn't very impressive, she very rarely struck out. She set the AAGPBL single-season record with 39 sacrifice hits, in 1947.
Reeser was known for being one of the loudest players on the field but was said to be very quiet and kept to herself off the field. She moved to Muskegon with her husband because they liked the vibe there too much to leave.
She celebrated her 100th birthday on February 11, 2025.
