Biographical Information[edit]
Infielder Santo Luberto played in the minor leagues in 1945 and from 1947 to 1955. He hit .277 with 978 hits, 144 doubles and 33 home runs in 1,026 games over his 10-year career. Perhaps his best season was 1953, when he hit .361 with 165 hits in 126 games for the Fargo-Moorhead Twins, to lead the Northern League in batting average. He also managed the team for part of the year, replacing Zeke Bonura for parts of June and July.
He was nicknamed "Noisy" ironically, because he was not very talkative.[1] He served in the U.S. military during World War II.
