Santa Marta

Santa Marta played one season (1954-1955) in the Venezuelan League. Emilio Cueche (9-8, 2.03; .286 average) was the top star; the rest of the staff was 9-25. Pablo Garcia hit .350 with 29 RBI and Dave Pope (.314, .500 SLG) led the team with four homers and 23 runs. Other players who would appear in the majors included Hank Foiles, Joe Frazier, Clem Koshorek, Bob Smith, Bill Werle and Bill Kennedy. They were managed by Red Kress.
