Lasantha Sanjeewa Manna Uthum Mudiyanselage was 0 for 7 with a hit-by-pitch and a run for the Sri Lankan national team in the 2017 Asian Championship, handling 10 chances error-free; it was their first Asian Championship. [1] In their first Asian Games appearance, he got one at-bat. Pinch-hitting for Iresh Kosala Piladuwa Maha Bogahawattage, he grounded out against Thailand's Chanatip Thongbai to end a 14-3 loss. [2] In early 2019, he was hospitalized after an accident. [3]
