Biographical Information[edit]

Sang-jae Kim played in the Korea Baseball Organization for 3 years.

Kim played for South Korea in the 1989 Asian Championship and 1989 Intercontinental Cup. The Ssangbangwool Raiders selected him in the first round of the 1991 KBO draft, and he hit .222/.309/.324 in 44 games in his first season. He then had a .225/.269/.336 batting line in 1993, and he was traded to the Lotte Giants for Tae-il Song. Kim only played 5 games for their big club in 1994, then the Giants released him.

Overall, Kim hit .224/.280/.338 with 81 hits in 3 seasons in the KBO.
