Biographical Information[edit]
Samuel Ruiz pitched for the Panamanian national team in the 2014 Central American and Caribbean Games. He got Panama's lone win and did it in strong fashion. Facing Guatemala in the 7th/8th place game, he allowed five hits and no walks or runs in seven innings, fanning three; Luis González saved Ruiz's win over Jorge Rehwoldt. Only two pitchers had a 0.00 ERA with more innings pitched - Josmar Carreño and Delio Martinez. [1]
