In 1952 the Salisbury Reds replaced the Salisbury A's in the Inter-State League. The Cincinnati Reds farm club finished 6th of 8 teams with a 65-73-1 record under managers Mike Blazo and Dick Porter. Attendance was 44,479, 4th in the league. Catcher Jack Tanner (.292/~.375/.568) was the offensive star and was second in the league with 29 homers. The club did not return in 1953 because there was no league to return to.
