Biographical Information[edit]

Ryan Miller played in the minor leagues and the Taiwan Major League.

Miller was drafted by the New York Mets in the 30th round of the 1994 Amateur Draft, and he hit .256/.304/.314 in 68 games for the Pittsfield Mets in his first season. He had a .244/.292/.323 batting line with the St. Lucie Mets in 1995, and he went 1-for-19 with the Binghamton Mets. Miller then batted .255/.310/.319 in St. Lucie in 1996, and he had a .254/.295/.358 batting line there in 1997. He moved to the Houston Astros in the middle of the '97 season, and he hit .200/.262/.327 batting line for the Jackson Generals in 20 games while having a .265/.359/.265 batting line in 13 games with the Kissimmee Cobras. Miller improved to .307/.343/.406 in Jackson in 1998, and he also played 8 games for the AAA New Orleans Zephyrs. Miller then struggled in Jackson as his batting line was .147/.190/.173, and he batted .276/.298/.339 for the Zeohyrs in 1999. Miller hit .251/.310/.348 in 2000 in New Orleans, then the Astros released him. The Taipei Gida of Taiwan signed him, and he .344/.417/.438 in 11 games in 2001 TML. He left Taiwan and signed with the Mets in July, but he hit .179/.246/.232 for the Norfolk Tides and .167/.180/.300 in Binghamton. Miller then played for the Caffe Danesi Nettuno in Italy for three seasons, and he retired in 2004.
