Ryan Martinez was the main left fielder for Guam when they won Silver at the 2011 Pacific Games. He drew a walk from Jacques Boucheron his first plate appearance, then singled the next. He later homered off Louis Solaita of American Samoa. Entering the Gold Medal Game, he was at .311/.368/.563 with 4 runs and 4 RBI in six games. He was 4th in slugging (between Juan Maratita and Brieuc Mallet), tied for 7th in RBI and his one homer tied Jim Reyes, Rico Castro and Lieb Bells for the lead.
