Biographical Information[edit]
Rushenten Tomsjansen has played in the Dominican Republic, USA and Italy. He has been on the Dutch national team.
He hit .222/.256/.246 for the 2018 DSL Dodgers Robinson and .203/.290/.304 for the '19 DSL Dodgers Shoemaker. The latter year, he played sparkling defense in the outfield - 80 putouts, 8 assists and no errors. The 2020 minor league season was wiped out by the COVID-19 pandemic then he was 3-for-24 for the 2021 ACL Dodgers. He signed with Grosseto in the 2023 Serie A1 and produced at a .377/.417/.569 clip with 42 runs and 32 RBI in 34 games, going 10-for-11 in steal attempts. He tied for 5th in the league with 4 triples, tied Eugene Helder and Nick Nosti for 9th in RBI and was 4th with 14 doubles. [1]
With Grosseto in 2024, he fell to .318/.351/.421. He then played for the Netherlands in the 2024 Premier 12, getting into one game - he replaced Dwayne Kemp in left late against Panama. His lone plate appearance, he struck out against Alberto Baldonado in the 10th inning of their 9-8 win. [2]
