Biographical Information[edit]

Infielder Rudy Flores began his professional career in 2012. He was taken by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the 21st round of the 2012 amateur draft.

In his first campaign, he hit .302/.388/.430 in short-season play. By 2013, he was blossoming into a true power prospect, hitting 19 home runs for the South Bend Silver Hawks. In 2014, he slugged 28 dingers and 35 doubles, drove in 100 runs and batted .301/.354/.528 for the Visalia Rawhide to earn MiLB.com Organization All-Star honors. His slash line slumped to .241/.309/.391 the next year, though he still hit 14 home runs. He was the primary DH for the Mexican national team in the 2015 Premier 12, hitting .167/.286/.389 but scoring five runs in six games. He homered off Victor Mateo in a crucial win over the Dominican national team. In 2016, he rebounded to hit 19 home runs with 72 RBI.
