Biographical Information[edit]
Roy Hamey was a long-time front office executive. He spent time as a general manager for the Kansas City Blues, Philadelphia Phillies, Pittsburgh Pirates and New York Yankees. He was the first true general manager of the Pirates, as the duties had previously been handled by the team president.
