Biographical Information[edit]
Second baseman Roy Grover played for the Philadelphia Athletics and the Washington Senators during 1916, 1917 and 1919, spliting the last season between the two teams. He was the regular second baseman for the 1917 Athletics.
Grover was born in Snohomish, WA, north of Seattle, WA. In the minors he played mostly for teams on the West Coast.
Grover took over second base with the Athletics after Eddie Collins had played the position from 1908 to 1914 and Nap Lajoie held down the spot in 1915 and 1916.
