Biographical Information

Ronald Torrealba played two seasons in the minors.

Signed by Detroit Tigers scout Oscar Garcia in 2006, he hit .178/.336/.193 with 40 walks and 30 runs in 67 games, fielding .924 in 54 games at SS and .974 in 14 at 2B. He tied for 6th in the Venezuelan Summer League in walks. His offense remained overall poor with the 2008 VSL Tigers (.177/.316/.224) but he fielded .972 at 2B to lead VSL second baseman; he also led with 26 double plays. He helped the Venezuelan national team to a Silver Medal in the 2009 Bolivarian Games.
