Biographical Information[edit]
Outfielder Ron Pezzoni played in the minor and independent leagues from 1990 to 1995. He was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Seattle Mariners.
The speedster, who never played above Double A, stole 26, 21, 28 and 11 bases his first four seasons, respectively. Speed was his primary offering -- in 1991, he had 124 hits, but just 16 extra base hits, between two clubs.
He joined the San Francisco Giants system for 1993 and 1994 and slashed .300/.327/.377 in 74 games for the independent Tri-City Posse in his final season, 1995.
Overall, Pezzoni batted .273/.333/.357 with 480 hits and 88 stolen bases in 506 games.
