Biographical Information

Roman Goloubkhine played for the Russian national team.

Goloubkhine was with Russia for the 1997 European Championship. In the 1998 Baseball World Cup, he split catching with Andrei Selivanov. He was 1 for 10 with two RBI, a walk and a hit-by-pitch, making no errors in seven chances and throwing out one of ten would-be base-stealers. His lone hit came off Team Canada's Martin La Freniere. He still tied Dimitri Lukin for second on Russia in RBI, two behind Iouri Perepelitsa.
