Biographical Information[edit]

Pitcher Rollin Schuster played in the Boston Red Sox minor league system from 1947 to 1952.

He began his career with an 8-0 record and 3.21 ERA in 13 games (12 starts) as an 18-year-old for the Lynn Red Sox. With Lynn again in 1948, he was 18-4 with a 3.38 ERA in 24 starts. Overall, he was 18-5 with a 3.78 ERA on the year, as he also had an unsuccessful stint with the Triple-A Louisville Colonels (0-1, 6.95 ERA). He won 10 games only once more in his career -- with the Scranton Red Sox in 1950, when he was 10-15 in 34 games.

Overall, Schuster was 45-28 over six seasons. His winning percentage was .616.

He served in the Navy during the Korean War.
